Dress for Success Employment Program
The Employment program of the Department Of Homeless Services Of New York City is assisting a homeless men population of 900 on an ongoing basis. Currently, 400 clients have been assessed for employment in which 100 clients have been assisted with employment search and hired. Other clients have obtained services such as resume preparation, career life talks, vocational training, GED and professional attire to assist interviews.
The Rotary Club Of Historic Jackson Heights has a campaign called “Dress for Success” to collect donations of professional attire and shoes for homeless men that live in the NYC Midtown Shelter Located at 400-430 East 30th Street, New York, 10016.
We have received clothing and shoes that were donated to that program but they are in need of men underwear, socks, chef Jackets and black /white Collar shirts. As a not-for-profit organization we want to continue supporting this project that benefits the homeless community of New York.
