Welcome to the Rotary Club of Historic Jackson Heights!

At the Rotary Club of Historic Jackson Heights, we believe every child deserves the chance to grow, dream, and thrive with a healthy heart and a confident smile. Since 2010, our New York City–based nonprofit has been dedicated to making a life-saving impact on children with heart conditions in Central America and Colombia—children who might otherwise be unable to access the critical surgeries they need.

A child’s heart should be filled with possibilities, not threatened by illness. And every child’s smile should shine freely, without barriers. Sadly, for too many families, the financial cost of specialized medical care makes these dreams feel out of reach. That’s where we step in—because every heartbeat and every smile matters.

Guided by our motto, “The Privilege of Giving,” our work is powered by the generosity of our community, the compassion of volunteers, and the skill of medical professionals. Together, we’ve already helped hundreds of children receive life-changing heart surgeries—but our mission is growing.

✨ Our New Program: Give the Gift of a Smile
We are thrilled to announce our newest initiative: “Give the Gift of a Smile”—an effort to fund cleft lip surgeries for children in Barranquilla, Colombia. Imagine being a child who can’t smile, eat, or speak without difficulty, all because of a condition that can be corrected. In Barranquilla, many children live with this reality every day.

Your support can change that. These surgeries do more than transform faces—they restore confidence, improve health, and open the door to brighter futures. Every donation—large or small—goes directly toward these surgeries and the care that surrounds them. With your help, we can deliver hope, healing, and a reason to smile to children and families who need it most.
